Depending on composition, chemistry, and construction, foams can be die-cut or laminated. These natural or synthetic materials are soft, cushiony, and often water repellent, and can be laminated with adhesive for more dynamic and specific applications. They’re commonly used for medical and industrial applications, such as vibration absorption, sound dampening, sealing, mounting, and gasketing. Advantage Converting has experience converting a variety of foams, including vinyl, urethane, polyethylene, sponge rubber, and acrylic.

For example, at Advantage Converting, we have used our clean rooms to manufacture advanced wound care products, solar panel components, and vibration dampeners for the aerospace industry. Q: What is clean room manufacturing?
Clean room manufacturing is the use of an enclosed area with strict environmental controls to manufacture sensitive components. The controlled environment – or clean room – limits the presence of dust, airborne microbes, aerosol, and chemical vapors to prevent environmental contamination of sensitive components, such as those for medical, electronic, and aerospace applications.
